I love creating timeless powerful imagery of each person I get to collaborate with. CREATING IS THE WAY I SHARE MY SOUL WITH THE WORLD. I know that each moment and experience is unique and we each leave an imprint and legacy...
Q. When did you get interested in photography?
A. Wayyy back in the day. Specifically 1997 when me and my best friend dressed up in my homemade Christmas dresses my mom made me and we had a wind-up camera and a cardboard cut out of George Strait we stole from the beer garden at the Madison County fair. We were so cool......
Q. How long has your studio been in Butte?
A. It has been here since 2010. I was shooting out of my living room prior and I think it might have scared some people away. To photograph a full length shot I had to literally step out the front door into the street.
Q. How did you learn Videography?
A. I have always been fascinated with storytelling and video just seemed like a natural extension of what I do as a photographer. I love adding video to shoots for personal branding because it helps tell a story and we really get to use creativity in a different way. All just self taught, but I have so many friends to call on, it really has helped me fine tune things.
Q. What is your favorite thing about photography?
A. Transformation. I love to see women change from the moment they walk into the studio to when they leave. I love being able to infuse women with confidence and strength.
Q. How did you learn Photography?
A. I have always been fascinated with beauty and light. And even more so the magic that happens when you take a portrait of someone. I started taking senior photos of my friends and it grew from their when I was a junior in high school. Then I decided to go to college and earned my associates degree in Photographic communications at Northwestern College in WY Since then, I have learned so much from my images being evaluated and critiqued by industry leaders who eventually became trusted friends and mentors. I continue to learn about my craft. Learning and applying is were the growth shows.
Q. What is the most rewarding experience you have had in your career?
A. Ooooof, I would say seeing my clients walk in wanting a shoot and walk out bringing that creative energy to their world. Weather it is motherhood, business, or just a part of your healing journey. It’s really cool to be a part of people story and see them in a way most the world misses.
